RJ Bullion sells gold, silver, platinum, palladium and copper bullion online through rjbullion.com, operating out of the Chicago area under the umbrella of Regal Jewels Inc., a family owned jewelry business dating back to 1987.
Gold Investor Research looked closely at RJ Bullion's product catalog, pricing, payment terms, shipping policy and public reputation to help you decide whether it belongs on your shortlist next to the larger national dealers.
This review draws on RJ Bullion's own website, its published terms and conditions, and third party sources tracking complaint and satisfaction data across the bullion industry. We have no financial relationship with RJ Bullion.
Key Points
- RJ Bullion is a Chicago area precious metals dealer built on top of a jewelry business founded in 1987, and the company says it has carried the RJ Bullion name for roughly 11 years.
- Its catalog covers gold, silver, platinum, palladium and copper from major world mints, but its public review footprint is thin next to larger online only competitors.

A Jewelry Business That Added Bullion
RJ Bullion LLC operates as a division of Regal Jewels Inc., a family owned corporation founded in 1987 that built its name in Chicago's ethnic jewelry market.
RJ Bullion's own About Us page describes the company as surpassing 11 years in the precious metals business, which places its bullion specific launch around 2015, close to three decades after Regal Jewels opened.
The business runs out of the Chicago area, with some third party listings placing operations in neighboring Skokie, Illinois, and phone support runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central, at 312-530-5000. Staff hold training in gold, diamonds and gem stones, a carryover from the parent jewelry operation.
RJ Bullion also runs a separate auction site at auctions.rjbullion.com and sells through eBay under its own name, with feedback built up into the tens of thousands.
What RJ Bullion Sells
The catalog splits into five metal categories. Within each one, RJ Bullion organizes inventory by mint rather than by product type, a structure that makes sense once you know exactly what you want but takes more clicking to browse casually than a flat category list would.
| Metal | Mints and product lines carried |
|---|---|
| Gold | U.S. Mint, Austrian Mint, Royal Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Chinese Mint, Mexican Mint, South African Mint, American Buffalo, bars and rounds, pre 1933 U.S. gold coins, other world gold coins |
| Silver | U.S. Mint, Austrian Mint, Royal Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Chinese Mint, Mexican Mint, 90% U.S. silver coins, Perth Mint, bars and rounds |
| Platinum | U.S. Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Chinese Mint, Isle of Man, Austrian Mint, South African Mint, bars and rounds |
| Palladium | U.S. Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, bars and rounds |
| Copper | Rounds and bars |
RJ Bullion also sells fine jewelry through the Regal Jewels side of the business and lists auction items separately from the fixed price catalog, both of which set it apart from bullion only shops such as JM Bullion or SD Bullion, which stick strictly to investment metals.

Pricing And Where Gold Sits Right Now
RJ Bullion posts a live pricing ticker on its homepage showing spot prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium, updated continuously during market hours. As of our research in September 2026, those spot prices looked roughly like this:
| Metal | Approximate spot price per troy ounce |
|---|---|
| Gold | $4,300 to $4,370 |
| Silver | $62 to $65 |
| Platinum | $1,760 to $1,780 |
| Palladium | $1,280 to $1,335 |
These figures move by the minute, so treat the table as a snapshot rather than a live quote. Context matters here. Gold hit an all time high of $5,602.22 per troy ounce on January 28, 2026, according to price data tracked by APMEX, before pulling back through the spring and trading in the low $4,000s by June.
J.P. Morgan's Global Research team has forecast gold averaging $6,000 per ounce by the fourth quarter of 2026, citing central bank demand and dollar weakness, though the bank's own analysts note that investor interest cooled after the January peak.
What a dealer charges relative to spot, the premium, matters more to your return than the spot number itself. RJ Bullion does not publish a standard premium chart, so compare per item checkout pricing against a live spot tracker before you order.
How You Pay
Per RJ Bullion's own terms and conditions, the company accepts bank wire, credit and debit card, personal check, cashier's check and money order, and it recommends bank wire as the fastest way to lock in a guaranteed price. A few rules worth knowing before checkout:
None of this is unusual. JM Bullion and SD Bullion run nearly identical holds on wires and checks, largely because gold and silver prices move fast enough that a delayed payment can cost a dealer money on the difference.
Shipping, Insurance And Returns
Domestic orders ship fully insured once every item on the order is in stock, and RJ Bullion calculates shipping cost at checkout based on zip code and cart contents.
Risk of loss stays with RJ Bullion until delivery. International orders run a separate process: payment goes through wire transfer only, the buyer covers duties and taxes, and refunds go back to the original sender only.
Refuse an unclaimed international package and you get the purchase price back minus five percent, plus shipping and insurance costs already spent.
Returns are where RJ Bullion runs stricter than average. There are no returns on bullion type coins at all. Certified coins lose return eligibility the moment the protective holder is opened or damaged.
Any coins sent back must travel insured through a major carrier with an itemized invoice included. Compare that to a dealer that allows returns within a set window on unopened product, and RJ Bullion reads as a buy and hold arrangement rather than a browse and return one.
Reputation, In Context
RJ Bullion lists affiliations with the Numismatic Guaranty Company, the American Numismatic Association, the Better Business Bureau and the Professional Coin Grading Service on its site.
Independent research published by Gold IRA Investor confirmed these affiliations but found that RJ Bullion's customer reviews and ratings remain limited compared with larger competitors.
That reads as accurate. Search RJ Bullion across the major review platforms and you will not find anything close to the volume a company like JM Bullion has built up.
| Dealer | Founded | Public review volume found |
|---|---|---|
| RJ Bullion | Parent company 1987, bullion arm around 2015 | Limited, per Gold IRA Investor's independent research |
| JM Bullion | 2011 | 1,765 Trustpilot reviews averaging 3.6 out of 5; 421,000+ ShopperApproved ratings averaging 4.8 out of 5 |
A thin review record is not proof of a problem. Plenty of regional dealers run clean operations without chasing review volume the way large online only shops do.
It does mean you are leaning more on affiliations and less on a public track record, so a phone call to RJ Bullion's Chicago office before a large order is a reasonable extra step.

Who RJ Bullion Fits
RJ Bullion suits a fairly specific buyer. Live in or near Chicago and want to walk into a store, examine a coin in hand, and pick it up the same day? That in person option beats anything a purely online dealer can offer.
Already buy jewelry from Regal Jewels and want bullion under the same relationship? The crossover makes sense.
Shopping mainly on price, or wanting the deepest public review record before wiring five figures to an unfamiliar company? A larger national dealer with a longer track record is likely the better fit.
Conclusion
RJ Bullion is a real, decades old Chicago jewelry business that added a legitimate bullion operation carrying major mint products across five metals, backed by standard industry affiliations and a straightforward, if strict, payment and return policy.
Buyers near Chicago or already loyal to Regal Jewels will find it a solid option, while buyers who judge a dealer mainly by public review volume will find more data to work with elsewhere.
